Common Concrete Grades

Why do we multiply by 1.54? (Dry vs Wet Volume)

When water is added to dry materials (cement, sand, aggregate), the mixture shrinks because the fine particles fill the voids between the coarse particles. To get 1 cubic meter of wet concrete, you need approximately 1.54 cubic meters of dry materials. Our pro-level calculator handles this conversion automatically!
