RCC Expert Tips
1
Steel Density
Steel is incredibly heavy! 1 cubic meter of steel weighs exactly 7850 kg. Our calculator uses this standard density for 100% accurate reinforcement estimation.
2
Steel Percentages
Different structures need different steel volumes. Slabs typically use 1%, while load-bearing columns need up to 2.5% steel volume to prevent bending and buckling.
3
M20 vs M25
M20 (1:1.5:3) is the bare minimum for residential slabs. For commercial buildings or heavy load zones, upgrade to M25 (1:1:2) for extra compressive strength.
