What is PCC?
Plain Cement Concrete contains no steel reinforcement. It's laid on the soil surface to provide a level, strong foundation base for footings.

Ideal Ratios
Unlike slabs which require 1:1.5:3, PCC is a lean mix. 1:4:8 (Cement:Sand:Aggregate) is standard, while 1:5:10 is used for less critical leveling courses.

PCC acts as a barrier to prevent moisture from the soil reaching the reinforced footings above, protecting the steel from rust.
